City of Isleton – Notice of Vacancy City Councilmember Seat

The City of Isleton is seeking qualified residents to fill an open seat on the Isleton City Council. This appointment will serve until the next regularly scheduled election in November 2026.

All residents of the City of Isleton who are registered voters are encouraged to apply.

How to Apply: Interested individuals must submit a Letter of Intent outlining their interest in serving on the City Council and any relevant qualifications or community involvement.

Filing Deadline: All letters must be received by Wednesday, October 2, 2025.

General Qualifications:

• Citizenship: You must be a U.S. citizen.

• Age: You must be at least 18 years of age.

• Residency and voter registration: You must be a resident of the city and a registered voter in that city at the time you are issued nomination papers.

• Criminal record: You cannot be in prison or on parole for a felony conviction.

• Conviction of certain crimes: You are ineligible to hold office if convicted of a felony involving bribery, embezzlement, extortion, theft of public money, perjury, or conspiracy to commit any of those crimes.

Public Hearing Update Notice

Project Review – City Council

The City of Isleton hereby advises that the referenced project was reviewed by the City Council during a noticed public hearing on August 12, 2025. During that meeting, the Council continued the item for further consideration and public discussion.

The project will now be reviewed at the City Council meeting on September 24, 2025, beginning at 6:30 PM.

Important Information:

  • The original public hearing notice remains posted (see August 12, 2025 agenda packet) and serves as the official notification of the meeting.
  • Updated materials regarding the project, including a new staff report, will be made available on this page as they become available.
  • Members of the public are encouraged to review the updated information prior to the September 9 meeting.
